Change needs direction

Dear reader,

The world is changing, and so are the demands placed on a company like binder. Global markets remain challenging, geopolitical uncertainties continue to affect our business, and the pressure to become faster, more digital and more customer-focused is growing. In this environment, one thing is essential: clarity about where we are heading.

With binder 2030, we are taking this step. Our strategy process is underway, and it has been deliberately structured differently from before: around 25 employees from across the Group, representing different departments and locations, are working with us to develop a clear vision for the coming years. Three workshops have already taken place, with results that we find convincing. We will officially communicate the strategy from fall onwards. After all, strategy only works if it is understood, embraced and put into practice in our everyday work.

At the same time, we have made further decisions to move binder forward: The Group-wide rollout of Microsoft 365 is connecting us across locations and making collaboration significantly easier. This year, we have made a deliberate decision to take a different approach to trade fairs: We will not be exhibiting at SPS in Nuremberg or electronica in Munich. Instead, we are investing our time and resources in direct customer engagement, strengthening our sales structures and optimizing our internal processes in areas where we can create the greatest sustainable impact. From 2027 onwards, we will be back with a clearer positioning and a strong presence.

In this issue, we introduce Ron Binder in an interview – he talks about his work and shares his views on digitalization, finance and leadership. We also take a closer look at product information management at binder and celebrate a special anniversary together: binder ITZ is turning 10.

We wish you much enjoyment while reading!

With warm regards
