Neckarsulm, 13 October 2026 – The binder group is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its subsidiary in China. Based in Nanjing, binder China was founded on 24 August 2001 and became the binder group’s first location outside Germany. Since then, the subsidiary has combined German engineering expertise with the requirements of the Chinese industrial market. What began as a sales organisation has evolved into a site with its own production capabilities, contributing to the group’s value creation.
An early entry into the Chinese market
With the establishment of binder China in 2001, binder was among the early German industrial companies to enter the Chinese market. Over the past 25 years, the subsidiary has established German connection technology and the binder group’s quality standards locally. It supplies circular connectors for applications where high reliability is essential, including automation technology, the semiconductor industry, medical technology, railway technology and measurement technology.
“We have already shared an incredible journey,” said Len Binder, CEO of the binder group. “binder China is a very important part of the binder group – today and in the future. I hope we will continue on this path together for the next 25 years.”
From sales to local production
Today, binder China is more than a sales location. In 2007, the subsidiary began producing moulded cables. This was followed by ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2009. In 2019, the team moved to its current site, and in 2024, binder China further expanded its production capabilities.
binder China combines equipment and technologies from Germany with the requirements of the local market. This enables customers throughout China to benefit from connectors manufactured locally to German quality standards.
“The past 25 years have given us a strong foundation,” said Jiajun Rui, Site Manager of binder China.“In the coming years, we want to further expand our local production and move even closer to our customers in China – while staying true to the quality and values of a German family-owned company.”
An anniversary celebration with the whole team
To mark the anniversary, all binder China employees came together for a celebration. They looked back on the subsidiary’s development since entering the Chinese market, revisited key milestones of the past 25 years and looked ahead to the future of sales, production and operations.
